first impression

The site looks as if it's pretty well organized, the layout looks washed-out and pastel-like, the pastels making it a nice spring or summer layout.

The sidebar on the right is a bit intimidating with all of the different sections, but it doesn't look too cluttered.

graphic

Rachel's current site layout features Hanna Beth with hues of pastel pink and purple, and a little bit of blue. All in all, it looks like she can use her photo editor (which ever one she uses) fairly well.

There are only two pictures in the graphic, each repeated twice, which is a little too much. But, Raychel's done a nice job of making each picture look different with different sizes, blending techniques, colors, and transparencies.

The graphic would probably be a little more interesting with some brushes, and more variety in the original pictures.

The background is a solid color, a light grey. However, on my compter, there's a slight difference between the background color of the image and the css background color, If you click here for a close up, with the different html colors.

coding

The css of Rachel's layout look pretty nice. She's matched colors in the graphic for the different text types in her layout.

The underlined text is a littel hard to read, though, and the italic is almost the same as the background color.

The headers are nice, big and readable, which is always nice. Rachel's also given her headers a less popular, but still very cool looking, attribute: the first letter of each header is in bold and italics.

content

Rachel has provided her visitors with a wide variety of content, including blends/graphics, coded layouts, icons, pngs, scribbles, wallpapers, tutorials, fonts, and site reviews.

The blends and graphics mostly feature celebrities, not much of a variety. But, the blends were obviously worked on and not thrown togethor sloppily.

The layouts offered are limited to three, but vary in styles, which makes it seem like Rachel will be able to add layouts in the future with different styles to them, giving visitors a greater variety, which is always good.

Most of what's offered on her site is celebrity based, which means what she offers is very limited. But, that's easily fixed.

As far as the scribbles page, I'm not really sure why she offers these. Honestly, I don't think anyone will really ever use these. They are somewhat remotely cute, in a way. They look sloppy and quickly done in paint, which I understand can be a "look" but I think Rachel's time would be better spent making other content for her site.

The fonts offered on her site are not made by her, but she clearly states that at the top of the page, and is not stealing the fonts.

On the reviews page, I find it odd how her form matches mine, only expanding the words and not making "site name" an option. Uncanny how almost identical the forms are, actually.

navigation

The alternate pages include hostess, content, tagboard, competitions, domain, and reviews. The site is pretty easy to navigate, and the links are clearly found in the sidebar.

overall

Zoozoodeem could use some work, but the potential is definitely there. If the site layout was a little more intriguing and the content had more options that mostly celebrities, it would make anyone's visit to Zoozoodeem a little bit better.

As far as copyright to other sites, I would suggest that every font be linked to its original source and credited somewhere in her resources (if it's not already.) The review form still irks me a little with how similar it is to mine.

comments

note: the cbox below is the same one on all review pages.

if you leave a comment... then refer to the name of the site. This review was for Zellow Productions

This cbox is for visitors to comment about the sites that have been reviewed. It is not for visitors' complaints, defending of friends, telling me how to review sites, or for juding my site. If you want to do one of those listed above, feel free to e-mail me at skylineillusions@yahoo.com which is the site e-mail that I check frequently; I don't feel as if there is a need for any one to e-mail me over these reviews, though. I check this cbox about once every two weeks, usually only if one of my friends says "Go look at that cbox!"

When inappropriate comments are found (though it will probably be soon after they've been posted) they will be deleted.
