first impression

The layout looks like the same layouts she's been using since her site opened, all of her site layouts have been white/black with neon pink and blue, with flower brushes, splatter brushes, and sunbursts.

The updates look a little too cluttered. And, the black borders around the divs/tables don't look good with all of the white.

The coding looks very simple.

However, it looks like there's a lot of content available for visitors, which is great.

graphic

The graphic of the site is very simple. A white background with neon pink and blue splatters, sun bursts, flowers, and the site name written largely across it.

The splattered brushes used are repeated many times, making it visible that only one or two actual brushes were used, instead of several.

The black borders around the divs were just a bad idea, they don't look good with all of the light colors. I understand the concept of contrast, but it hasn't been used well here.

This graphic would seem better to me if it didn't look like the last five layouts that Summer's featured as her site layout, it's getting boring and repetitive.

I understand Summer's a beginner though.

coding

The code of Summer's site layout isn't bad, just very bland. The main text is black and a very simple font: arial. The bold, italics, and underline all go well with the graphic, as do the headers.

Looking at Summer's code tells me that she's not quite sure about what everything does. For the colors, she uses mostly color names instead of hex codes, a picture is provided below of her code.

If you look at the same thubmnail featured above, you'll see that the first chunk of her coding has a font family in it (franklin gothic medium), but in the second chunk she has a different font (arial) set under td,p,body. Having both of these is just not needed, which makes me feel like Summer still doesn't grasp html/css very well.

content

Summer offers a lot of content for her users! Web layouts, headers, image maps, myspace codes, scroll boxes, premade signs, graphics, brushes, and fonts are all available.

As far as her layouts go, she offers coded, uncoded, and myspace layouts. The one coded layout she offers right has the same basic layout as her site layout, features neon pink and blue, but has a lot of black instead of white. Two of the uncoded layouts also feature neon colors, and the remaining uncoded layout is more of a graphic than a layout. It would be a lot easier if the layouts opened in new windows.

The headers are fairly boring, but nicely made, once again they all feature neon colors.

The image maps (Which can be used where? Myspace? She doesn't tell us where, nor does she tell us where to put the code, assuming they're for Myspace.) are all neon colors, as well.

Well! The Myspace codes she offers are a refreshing change! There are no neon colors here, they're just codes. They're labeled nicely, and any visitor could easily find what he/she is looking for.

I'm not quite sure where you're supposed to use her scrollboxes. Myspace, perhaps? I'm not really sure, she doesn't tell us where to use them or what they're for. They're all neon colored and a little tacky looking.

The premade signs that Summer offers are currently of scene models. All of the signs have neon pink and blue, which, quite frankly, I'm sick of now, after all of her content being neon pink and blue. Where is the "sign" part of the signs? They don't say anything.

The graphics available all feature neon colors, except the Fourth of July one. The first says "good girls are just naughty girls who haven't got caught yet," which, not only is a little queer (queer means weird, not gay, get over yourself if you want to corrent me, anyone.), but should say "good girls are just naught girls that haven't gotten caught yet." You need gotten, not got.

The brushes are very primitive. I suggest Summer start using higher quality brushes in her layouts more effectively, take down these brushes, and wait till she can make good ones.

I don't see the point of offering fonts on your site if you didn't make them. I don't understand this for any site, not just Summer's. But, since she does offer fonts from DaFont, at least she's credited DaFont. It would be nice if DaFont was actually linked, instead of just "DaFont.com". Unfortunately, the fonts are featured on neon backgrounds.

I stopped by her plugboard while I was there. I find it extremely queer that my button's up there when I never put it up. Thanks, I guess, in a weird way.

navigation

The site is extremely easy to navigate. All of the content pages are listed in one place. Further down you can find links to her affiliates and where to apply as an affiliate.

overall

Rawr Pink needs a lot of work. Summer should learn how to create style sheets better, and learn how to really use photoshop.

I reccomend she begin to user neon colors sparingly.

Once she learns html/css better, maybe she can learn how to align her text to the left and use line breaks in her updates so they're not a mash of words. A RESOURCES page is most definitely needed. I cannot find one on her site. If you don't credit the brushes, fonts, stock, whatever you use, it's stealing.
