The layout looks nice, Marty can use her photo editor well. However, her screen size must be larger than mine, because on this computer (1152 x 864), it's too large for the screen and looks very cluttered.
Maybe Marty should be more courteous to other screen resolutions when she's making her graphics. The most common screen resolution right now, according to a counter on my site, is 1024 x 768. My screen resolution on my other computer is 1440 x 900, and I can see the whole graphic on that screen, but not this one.
I like the original images she's used a lot, some of them are repeated a little too much for me, and there's a lot of dead space n the graphic that's just cluttered up by brushes.
The coding for the site layout looks great, except for the colors. The neon colors shown in the code aren't anywhere in the graphic.
The repeating background image is a nice touch, it looks really nice. You can only vaguely tell where it repeats, but that's very common with "grunge" backgrounds. Job well done.
The coding isn't too boring or too over the top, it's a nice compromise. The only thing I would suggest for future layouts is matching code colors with the graphic's colors.
The repeating background on the left div/table looks great! I like paper stock for backgrounds sometimes.
Ohhh a lot of content, very nice. Blends, brushes, color themes, fonts, layouts, icons, photography, scans, tutorials and wallpapers. Now to get a closer look...
Below each link to the blends/brushes/etcetera, there's a little blurb that describes what a blend/brush/etcetera is. Nice touch. Some are phrased awkwardly and some sound very juvenile, I suggest re-writing.
Blends;
The blends are high quality, but a little plain. The Ryan Ross one looks majorly cluttered,
as does the Paramore one in the bottom left corner of it.
Brushes;
Nice brushes, I like the lyrics/word brushes and the ghost brushes. The ghosts especially,
they're so cute!
Color Themes;
Marty's color themes could be taken down. They're not very good, a few looks a lot a like,
and about the same brownish color is in almost every single theme. I don't like these.
Fonts;
The fonts were not made by Marty, and she tells us so. I suggest that she actually link to
dafont on the page, instead of just saying "dafont." It's nice how she says that these are fonts
she's used in her layouts/blends, I know people have asked me for the fonts I've used.
However, when you don't actually make the fonts, I find it silly to offer them. Maybe
she could just list (with previews?) the fonts she used and link people directly to that font on dafont.
Layouts;
The layouts... hahaha along the top of the page it says I trust you guys to not do anything
psycho or illegal with them though. It would sound better if it was: I trust you guys
not to do anything psycho or illegal with them.
It would be nice if the layouts had previews on the page so you could easily see what they look like without having to open them. CHANGE YOUR CODE so that these open in new windows!
Some of the layouts' graphics are really large, including... Jenna Fischer, Rydon, Paramore, Boys Like Girls, and All Time Low. The All Time Low one is blended horendously.
A lot of these should be deleted, or at least redone.
Avatars;
The Avatars have a lot of variety. Some of them are just too plain, but some
have brushes and text on them, which look a lot nicer.
Photography;
Cool pictures; boring for layouts. This section hasn't been updated in almost a year.
Scans;
Not much variety, pretty boring, I wouldn't use these. And, there's a duplicate
of the first one. Honestly, why would someone use Michigan or Nevada
state facts for stock?
Tutorials;
Tutorials include html help, animated icons, make your own brushes, how to download brushes,
textareas, installing fonts, image re-sizing, photoshop tools part 1, some for Quizilla,
and two photoshop actions.
These are written well, I think I would be able to understand them (without my knowledge of this already.)
Wallpapers; The wallpapers don't look that great. The Panic at the Disco wallpapers looks cluttered, and they're just duplicates of each other with a few color changes.
Very easy to navigate. Subpages include home, content, site, affies, requests, and credit. All links are found easily on the left.
Some of the content is a little worthless, but if Marty has fun making them, she should continue to do so. Maybe she could get a little more creative and use more brushes or make new brushes that are original.
