first impression

Only two things have caught my eye...

1) The graphic doesn't seem to be of high quality.
2) The navigation seems amazingly easy!

graphic

The white outline around these six cartoon characters is a little too wide for my liking.

The graphic looks a little blurry; you can see this mainly on their faces.

Overall it's okay, just not too complex and I don't feel like a lot of time was put into it.

It seems like finding colors to use from it may be difficult.

coding

All... grey and black...

I like the code, except I wish it had some color to it. Looking past the lack of color, I can appreciate the code itself.

I can read everything and see everything clearly, different fonts have been used, and different headers.

content

Content offered would be avatars/icons, avatar bases, blank buttons, templates, textures, icon textures, CS2 splash, PNGs/renders, scripts/programs, PS special effects, wallpapers, old wallpapers, vector arts, linear arts, table layouts, divider layouts, pop-up layouts, and iframe layouts.

avatars/icons;
These are split into several subcategories.

Why are they 200x200? Avatars/icons that I've seen on every other site are either 100x100 or 50x50... some are 100x100 though on her site.

The avatars, in general, are decent. I've seen a lot worse. Some have very simple effects while some have intriguing effects; I don't think this was a matter of artistic choice, I think it was quantity over quality.

avatar bases;
Once again we have several subcategories, which is a nice variety for a visitor.

However! I find that offering avatar bases is pointless and a waste of time. They're merely cropped pictures that anyone could crop.

Not all of these are even of a high resolution!

blank buttons;
...people can crop their own pictures. Once again, these are not of high quality, and Amy doesn't even bother to tell us what size they are.

templates;
What are these? Some sort of explanation along the top of the page would be so helpful right now.

I will assume that people are to use tehse for linkback buttons and avatars. This seems like a waste of time; people can do this themselves.

textures;
The previews seem to be only 100x100, but I can't tell if that's the size of the textures or not...

There are download buttons, but I don't want to download anything onto my computer if I'm not going to use it.

Oh, now I see that the download buttons are not download buttons. They are just links to pictures; that's a little misleading.

These textures are interesting, I'll give her that, but they look more like small wallpapers than a texture someone would actually use in a graphic.

icon textures; CS2 splash;
They're welcome images when you start up your Photoshop program? Why? Does Amy really have nothing better to do?

PNGs;
They are alllll anime related, and I'm getting tired of it. Some seem to be blurry.

scripts/programs;
It's pointless to offer downloads of other people's things. She doesn't even link us to where she got these files. AHEM STEALER. If you don't linkback, but only mention they're not yours in text, you're not linking back, are you?

photoshop special effects;
On the sidebar effects is plural, but on the page, effect is singular.

Waterdroplets that help enhance your graphic? Interesting... though, possibly never used.

wallpapers;
There are a few subcategories. A lot of sizes are offered, which is great!

old wallpapers;
Why not just combine these with wallpapers? These are a lot less impressive and should just be deleted or worked on again.

vector arts;
PNGs? What are these really? Why is there no explanation blurb?

linear arts;
Hand drawn things? No... I see original image links. Well, not links, just text. Make them links!

table layouts;
I can't find one graphic that's actually well made, however, the CSS is amazing in comparison.

This is a mistake and annoying.

divider layouts;
Only one is available, though its graphic seems to be much better than the table layouts' graphics. The CSS is still very nice.

pop-up layouts;
Only one is available. The pop up layout doesn't even appear to match the enter page. The graphics aren't that great, but the CSS, for the most part, is fantastic.

iframe layouts;
The first two are so simmilar that it's stupid to offer both. One or the other, please.

My favorite is the Final Fantasy X-2 layout. It's simple and cute.

navigation

I love going through the site's links!

The dropdown menus (is that what they're technically called?) are so cool.

The first dropdown menu is for affilites and link exchanges, and includes links to affiliates. Bad idea! That means that the first thing people will see are links out of her site!

The second is "general" and includes terms of use, past layouts, contact me, credits, awards/gifts, about me, site history, and f.a.q.

Let's take a look at the terms of use.

terms of use;
The only complaint I have is that it says "credit to rightful owners" under scripts/programs. Why doesn't she link to them? It bothers me.

And, now for the credits...

credits;
Good, good! A nice long list!

The third dropdown is "graphics" which includes avatars/icons, avatar bases, blank buttons, templates, textures, icon texutres, and requests.

The fourth dropdown menu is "downloads" and it includes CS2 splash, PNGs/renders, scripts/programs, and PS special effects.

The fifth dropdown menu is "artwork/designs" and it includes wallpapers, old wallpapers, vector arts, and linear arts.

The sixth dropdown menu is "layouts" which includes table layouts, divider layouts, pop-up layouts, and iframe layouts.

The seventh dropdown is "rate KY" and the dropdown includes five stars. You click one and rate Amy's site.

The eighth dropdown is "contests" which includes contents joined and hall of fame. I think awards won should be put down here, too.

The ninth dropdown is "others" which includes tutorials, learn Japanese, guess the character, and guess the lyric.

The tenth dropdown is "stastistics" which has various site stats.

overall

Kuroyuki is a very orderly site that's incredibly easy to navigate; it also has very nice CSS.

I don't understand why the avatars/icons are 200x200. Quality over quantity for the avatars!

A lot of the graphics seem to be blurry or of a low resolution. Starting of with high quality pictures would be a better choice.

The texture "download" links would be better of being called "full view." Textures that are more texture-like, instead of swirls and arrows, would be nice.

Make more Photoshop special effects; they seem like they could be really cool.

Linking to the original images on the linear arts page would be... smart.

Nix avatar bases, blank buttons, templates, icon textures, CS2 splash, scripts/programs, and old wallpapers (or edit them a lot). Move the affiliates section of links down.
