site: Flawless-secret
owner: Jessica
reviewed: February 19th, 2009
I really enjoy the fact that on her left sidebar she has a section for "being reviewed by" and yet I am not listed. That's down right rude hat she listed other people, yet not me.
Why is there no space between Designer/Coder: and Jessica. SAme for "contact:me here."
This graphic is incredibly boring. Not to mention a major false advertisement. Your number one free design website I think not.
Content includes... hosting, reviews, pre mades, icons & signatures, PSD's, signs, textures, brushes, scans, and color themes.
hosting;
Same old, same old. Another host that won't teach, or appear to help, their hostees.
reviews;
I personally don't think she is showing enough knowledge of anything web-design related to be giving reviews. Hypocrite.
By the way, that rule is missing a period at the end. So is the rule after it. "I" should be capitalized in the rule after that...
To state the obvious (of anyone's review)... this is one of her rules: Anything I write about your site is my opinion don't take it to seriously.
At least she won't complain to or about me then, since a decent person would follow their own rules.
"more" page;
This spirals off to more individual pages.
i should be I. Once again, a period is needed.
pre mades;
"Pre mades" is not a word. Try picking up a dictionary.
The default blue border around an image link is hideous and should have been removed already. Why is there no layout info? What's this called? Who does it feature? When did you add it? Hmm?
To make matters worse: the layout doesn't even open up in a new window, which is lazy and sloppy. No one wants visitors to be removed from their site.
The blending is decent, it fades well, brushes and textures are used... however, I don't like how it's just a rectangle. Get creative!
The CSS is a bit hard to read for some people, I would think. Blue on red isn't a good idea, and overall the colors don't include the gold in the layout enough.
icongs & signatures;
Having them split off into so many different pages is really a pain.
PSD's
PSD's should be PSDs. It is plural, not possessive.
The default blue borders are still hideous.
These appear to be well cut out though.
signs;
These are a pointless waste of time. People are highly capable of making their own. Plus, these look awfully sloppy due to the fact that they don't fit in the div.
textures;
These don't seem like they would be used very often. The blue borders MUST GO.
brushes;
I don't find these to be unique or interesting. Blue borders still aren't nice.
scans;
Nice! Nice, nice. Blur borders are still, believe it or not, hideous.
color themes;
What can I say - they're color themes. The first one is a broken link.
More is weird. Content would be better.
The credits can be found off of the site page, however the numbres are very annoying.
The content isn't that great and needs to be worked on.
The grammar also needs to be worked on, for things like lack of grammar are highly annoying.
This cbox is for visitors to comment about the sites that have been reviewed. It is not for visitors' complaints, defending of friends, telling me how to review sites, or for juding my site. If you want to do one of those listed above, feel free to e-mail me at skylineillusions@yahoo.com which is the site e-mail that I check frequently; I don't feel as if there is a need for any one to e-mail me over these reviews, though. I check this cbox about once every two weeks, usually only if one of my friends says "Go look at that cbox!"
