first impression

The graphic is a nice blend of four different pictures from the same photoshoot, which helps it look like one graphic. Splendid blending job!

The code doesn't look as nice as the graphic, but oh well.

graphic

Allison has made a nice blend with four seperate pictures, I think using multiple pictures instead of repeating one or two over and over looks a lot nicer.

It looks like a few textures have been used to give a "smoky" look to the graphic, along with a few bat brushes, which have been used in moderation. Some more brushes to the right might have livened the graphic a little, it seems a tad dull, but maybe Allison was going for a more simple look.

The site name, Beautiful Chaos, is printed along the bottom, and is easy to read for anyone.

It would have been nice if the graphic had built in spaces for the code's dividers/tables. When graphics and codes meet together like that it usually seems like they were really made for each other.

coding

Allison's code's colors match the graphic accordingly. The main font used is a little boring, for me personally. Everything can be read though, which is nice, and all text (bold, italic, links, etcetera) can be read.

The headers are a little boring, just white bold with a dark blue background.

For the divider/table backgrounds I would not have chosen that lighter shade of blue. It sort of goes agains the "dark" feeling of the graphic.

content

As of right now visitor content is limited to premade layouts and brushes, however, in the coming soon section there are at least three more categories. Reviews are available, too.

premade layouts;
Some of the layouts (such as The Academy Is, Hayley Williams, and Ryan Ross) have graphics that are better than some (such as Green Day and All Time Low), some are probably older though, and Allison's photoshop/psp/whatever skills have improved since then.

For some, the graphics meet nicely with the coding and it all flows fairly well, but for some it's the complete opposite.

None of the codes really strike me as amazing.

brushes;
These aren't the greatest and you can't download them; only imagepacks are available. For the second brush set, I feel like I have seen the top left brush before (top left in the imagepack), I remember thinking it could be an octopus.

reviews;
In her reviews she gives applicants a score our of fifty, which is degrading.

The one review looks cluttered.

I think it's unprofessional and biased that the reviewee got an extra point just because Allison was listed in her top affiliates.

navigation

All links are listed along the left, site, visitor, reviews, short films, art portfolio, and home. In the section below that you can find her top affiliates, a link to all, and a link to apply.

The short films link takes you to a whole new site.

The art portfolio is hosted on Facebook.

There are no resources listed on this site. If Allison has used your resources, intead of being credited, you will get this...

I was going to put a credits page here, but I honestly forgot where I got pretty much all of my brushes. However, I know that I for sure got some from saruna.net, but I don't know if I acutally used them. xD

I think that's insensitive and disrespectful. It's not too hard to jot a website name down or add it to your favorites so you can link back to it later.

overall

The graphics seem better than the coding. Layouts are the main attracation, brushes aren't. Downloadable brushes would be nice. Listing resources is... mandatory of almost every person you can find a brush set from, so I don't understand why Allison thinks she is above this and doesn't have to remember or credit.
