step 01
Download the CuteNews files from CutePHP
onto your computer.
1) Click the download link, titled as CuteNews.1.4.6.zip
2) In the pop-up, click save.
Wait while the files are downloaded to your computer.
step 02
1) Find the zipped CuteNews folder on your computer (probably in your downloads folder.)
2) Right click on the folder > extract all.
3) Click extract in the pop-up window, as well.
Wait while the files are being extracted.
step 03
1) Find the extracted folder on your computer.
2) Right click on the folder > rename > "cutenews"
3) Open your FTP client and log in.
4) Either via your FTP client window, find the folder and upload it, or drag the folder
from your downloads folder to your server, or create a new folder/directory on your
server first, then upload the contents of the CuteNews folder on your computer.
step 04
1) On your server, open the new folder you've just uploaded, it should be
named "cutenews"
2) Right click the "data" folder, then click something along the lines or properties
or file attributes.
3) Change the written value in the input area to "777"
4) Do the same for every file and folder within the "data" folder.
step 05
1) Go to http://yoursite.com/cutenews make sure you replace
"yoursite.com" with YOUR url.
2) Click "Proceed Installation >>"
step 06
1) Make sure the "Current CHMOD Status value" is 777 for every file/folder. If one
isn't set to 777, go back to step four and go over the files and folders and set every
single one to 777.
2) Click "Proceed Installation >>"
step 07
1) Fill in the form. Choose a username and password you'll remember, give a valid e-mail,
et cetera.
2) Click "Proceed Installation >>"
step 08
1) Enter your log in information (you just created your log in information on the previous page.)
2) Click "Login..."
step 09
Your installation process is now complete. You can now add "news" (updates/blogs) to your CuteNews account.
